2011 Luau
Many hundreds of WCBC students enjoyed an evening of fun and fellowship during the Annual Hawaiian Luau! The night began with a delicious pork dinner straight from the Islands followed by exciting games like Hawaiian Hopper (aka sack racing…and some folks just don’t know how to hop), Pineapple Bowling (those pineapples aren't as round as they look!), and Kakui Nut Chip (golf balls are much easier to hit in a straight line!). Winners were awarded authentic Kakui nut Leis.
Following the competition, ice cream smothered in chocolate syrup, whipped cream and—of course—pineapple topping were enjoyed by all while students were entertained by a staff and faculty coconut toss volleyball game. At the conclusion of another great luau, students were challenged by a message from our faculty member, Brother Bryan Samms, from Proverbs 18:24 about being the right kind of friend!
